From the exhibition “An underlying perplexity”
This visual/textual album consists of 30 drawings, based on Facetime screenshots of my family. These embodiments are the closest thing to my family’s presence left for me. I had to spend hours making many sketches of my family, their faces, bodies, knowing that I can’t embrace them anytime soon in reality. Now, I have versions of them at times of displacement. This album is the closest thing to their presence left for me. |
